July 2015 BDJ Box Unboxing: Prepped and Polished!
Welcome to the July 2015 BDJ Box entitled Prepped and Polished.
I really shouldn't be so succinct. I read so bitchy when I am.
The only reason I'd place these V10 Plus sachets on the top spot is if it's the newest or most exciting thing. These sachets aren't that big and they're a bit thin so you can get a feel of my mood about this box.
Plus, I blogged about it days after I got it.
I only really like V10 because it's new.
The FS Luscious Lipstick is not a repeat either but it feels very cheap. It's too lightweight and the color seems to be that pink-fuschia I veer away from.
I'm pretty much over FS Cosmetics now. They're true drugstore in that quality is 50-50 and I'm not particularly invested in mining gold out of this pile.
Cetaphil bars are new to the BDJ service, but more to the point, will BDJ ever stop sampling ubiquitous, classic, drugstore items?
Canmake Colorful Nails is actually a pretty cute lime green color. It's good for summer though I'd wear it any time. It's ranked a bit low because I'm not into nail polish right now, but I do feel good about this sample!

You all know how I feel about these things. They're appreciated as supplies but I didn't come here for supplies.
These have been sampled twice before: once in June 2014 and another in December, I think. I haven't posted the latter because I was on hiatus and my curation cards were thrown away, trashing my will to write along with them.
I LOVE Benefit They're Real! but I know how they work and I've gotten them twice already.
Not feeling too miffed about the Celeteque Cleansing Oil because while it was overdistributed early on, the reformulated version has never been released so I'm giving this a pass.
I wish they kicked up a bigger fuss about this being different, though. I heard Kaycee let go of hers not even realizing it's not the old oil- which I was unhappy with as well.
Good product, but so tired. Also, a great lesson in math and pricing.
RECAP:
Box Value: Php 1278, or 2.2x the Php 580 subscription fee *considering only full-size items
Having written the post, I'm confronted with how there isn't that many repeats in the box. There are technically only two/three repeats, Benefit They're Real and Carmex, out of eight samples.
It's not that bad, but the brand partners are feeling kind of stale... I would love if it were a brand like Happy Skin, an out-of-this-ballpark brand that regularly pushes out product. But these are drugstore brands with 50-50 line offerings and are supremely easily accessible. I'm only okay with Benefit having repeats, and even then, not too frequently.
Could this possibly be a strategic lowering of expectations in time for the bombastic Elite-only August box?
